A Longer Thought
03:43

I've got a longer thought of you
It won't disappear if we're forced to move
I'll whine and wander with no torch to use
and grow a jungle just to keep the sun's rays out
I'm like a wheel spinning seaward
With no force there to shield
Our thoughts did complement so well
But go on, force a compliment then tell me it's intended
Now that I've got a longer thought of you
My mood gets steered by your nods and news
But the litter you give me, I fear it's all untrue
Are my worries ghost's wrong, what am i jealous about?
I scrutinize every lyric
Apply it to us as a lesson
Our thoughts did complement so well
But go on, force a compliment then tell me it's intended

Fumes in this town

I might decay like rust that can stop the bus
I don’t blaze like a fire with burning lust
I’m not plaid like a rug that can hide the dust
Every time you mistake feasible dues
My neck bends and my face inflames
Stop the regress, look at me plain
Is it impossible to see that nothing’s changed
Because it’s not possible to teach that no things change
You’re not listening to me
I’d invite you in but I’m spasm-ing
My feet slipped on the figures in my chin
On holidays? Can’t decide, so I’m drinking
Opportune gravity let me slip from the womb
Without the pen I’d spill ink on the page
Yeah I intend, but I’m not quite made
Is it impossible to treat insight like wind
Because it’s not possible to believe I’ve found something
You’re not listening to me
I might decay like rust that can stop the bus
I don’t blaze like a fire with burning lust
I’m not plaid like a rug that can hide the dust
Every time you mistake feasible dues
My neck bends and my face inflames
Stop the regress, look at me plain
You’re not listening to me
There’s fumes in this town, but there’s not much else around

There’s movement in front of me
The Caltrain stops but I don’t step on
I’m stalled by a tumbleweed
At the stoned parade I won’t get on
I refuse to eat the green
I deny the ride to sit and tick time
I could bathe and absolve my sins
But I don’t dip in, I’m elsewhere
Numb in fear
There’s movement in front of me
The Castro is a turgid display
I’m walking towards Café Sophie
I hope the coffee’s still warm
It’s all I desire, once I’m inside I’ll shut off and inside
Won’t speak until I’m told
Cold coffee still tastes ok
But would you want to drink it everyday?
I’m sitting down by the bay
Instead of changing to swim I heap on clothes
It’s colder here than LA
The wind does sting, I need meat to guard my bones
I could bathe and absolve my sins
But I don’t dip in, I’m elsewhere
Numb in fear
